New Lighting Tool Calculates Number of Fixtures Needed

[ad_1]

Confused about the number of fixtures you need? You’re in luck. 1000Bulbs has added a lighting layout tool to their website to help you figure out just that for any commercial product that has an IES file available.

The tool allows you to estimate the number of fixtures needed for interior and exterior spaces. It can be found near the bottom of the webpage for products with IES files next to the “FAQ’s” section. The tool is simple to use. All you need to do is to input the dimensions of your room and the tool will calculate the rest. For more information, take a look at the full breakdown on the Lighting Analysts website. Once you have finished your interior or outdoor layout, you can convert the results into a data sheet and print it out.

The interior view option allows customers to select their room size, reflectance, illuminance, and other settings to match the needs of their project. It then renders a 3D model that shows the number of fixtures needed with recommend spacing. The model is rotatable to provide additional views and can be made larger.

The outdoor view option is very similar. However, unlike the interior view option, it renders a 3D model of a beam spread and recommended mounting heights. This outdoor tool is ideal for exterior lighting that is mounted on a pole, such as parking lot lights.
