We had already painted our cabinets and added new hardware, but were just not happy with the older cabinets look and functionality. We also really wanted to open the wall between the kitchen and family room, so we decided to take the wall out and gut the entire kitchen. As you can see, it has the light and transitional feel we really wanted in the kitchen versus the cottage look we previously had, as the space now feels huge compared to the previous kitchen.
