In the pictures below, kitchens demonstrate how simple painted white Shaker cabinets can be dressed up or down. Here they are used to create a traditional kitchen design, extending the cabinetry through the dining room to create a custom buffet with mullion glass door cabinets and matching tall pantry cabinets on either end. Next to the dishwasher is a drawer base, our designers’ must-have storage cabinet. The clean curve of drawer pulls reflects the lines of the stainless refrigerator door handles.

In the first picture, a stainless and glass vent hood over a professional gas range emphasizes the transitional nature of the design. The cooktop backsplash, a cheerful polka dot mosaic, creates a hearth focal point on the long kitchen wall. Natural tones in the stone backsplash and marble countertop reflect the colors in the oak flooring, warming the space without getting dark. Cove crown molding adds a touch of interest and a finished look without competing with the home’s natural style.
