Wine on the Walls

Wine on the Walls

Whenever I consider a dark tone paint color, my eye always goes straight to the olive green or slate blue families. Rarely do I consider a dark red or deep burgundy as a color to layer on walls, but that’s a personal preference.

I will admit that wine and burgundy tones do have an allure, they feel sensual and romantic when subdued, especially this time of year when moody spaces feel extra cozy. I especially like the use of deep wine tones in dining rooms, a small bathroom, or a study.

But I know myself, as attractive as these tones are, I know if I painted my walls a burgundy color, I’d want to change it six months later when spring arrives.

Are you like me? Would you never commit to a burgundy paint on the walls? These sophisticated spaces may have you reconsidering!

Not just for walls, consider burgundy tones for cabinets too. These feel like the perfect shade of lipstick, no?

Would you be so bold? Would you paint your cabinets in a wine or burgundy color? Or the walls in your home?
