Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Style Scouting. My Sunday post where I share the random stuff that captured my attention or inspired me that I found online.
Over the last few days, I have been helping my daughter Mandy add her style to her kitchen. You may remember me sharing that she bought her first house back in the fall.
She has made a few big changes to the exterior so far and as her budget allows, she is making the house her own with many great finds from the local Habitat for Humanity store in Charlottesville.
When Ed and I visit her, I always enjoy taking a stroll around the 2 story store and find so many things I would love to use in my house, but have no way to get them home to SC. đ
On the trip this week, we found trim molding to use in the kitchen to create some interest – enough to go around the room for $29.
Here is a wide angle shot of Mandy’s kitchen before we began to paint. The walls and ceiling had a gloss antique white paint on them that was way too shiny.
So far the ceiling is done in a flat white and we are working on the wall paint today.
Once we get the room painted and the trim installed, I will share more as she slowly makes the rest of the changes she wants – like adding a center island, window treatments, new floor and more.
Now onto…
