If you’ve ever been interested in an insider’s tour of Milan’s acclaimed Salone del Mobile, you might like to jump aboard a trip set to be hosted by Aussie interior designers Rachel Collard (of R&Co Design Studio) and Alison Lewis next year. “Salone Del Mobile 2024 is sure to be a transformative week of inspiration, connection, new friends and of course, a bucket load of fun!” says Alison.

The benchmark event for the furnishing, lighting and design sector, Milan’s Salone Del Mobile is the international platform for creativity and is a fabulous forum for industry professionals and design-enthusiasts alike. The fair showcases the latest design trends in the lighting and furniture spheres (new ideas, materials and aesthetics emerge from the event each year) while serving as a great networking opportunity for designers, architects, manufacturers and industry professionals.

“With hundreds of brands exhibiting at Salone Del Mobile, our tour will be tailored to ensure a personalised, bespoke experience so if lighting’s your jam, we’ll be sure to include the likes of Flos, Artemide, Foscarini, Oluce, Vibia, FontanaArte and Kartell. If furniture’s more your thing, we’ll stop to see Cassina, Patricia Urquiola, B&B Italia and Tom Dixon and if joinery design floats your boat, we’re lucky enough to experience EuroCucina in 2024 which provides invaluable access to kitchen design trends and is only held every two years,” says Alison.

Located in the centre of Milan, tour guests will spend seven nights staying at the Palazzo Segretti boutique hotel. “For 100 years the hotel was a private home for many Milanese families. Now the boutique hotel has opened its doors with only 18 quiet and elegant rooms and prides itself on its uniquely Italian style of hospitality,” says Alison.
