Aussie run Moroccan riad recognised as one of world’s best

We have taken you on a tour of the stunning Riad Botanica before. Featuring a convergence of Moroccan and Australian Art Deco design, it’s no surprise to hear that the luxury five-suite sanctuary has joined Top World Hotel as one of only two Moroccan properties in the collection. Owned by Australian and Moroccan couple Angela and Mohamed Mellak, the 10^th century Riad Botanica is in Marrakech’s iconic Medina and it’s undergone a series of meticulous renovations pairing traditional Moroccan craftsmanship with Australian style. The property features suites that can be booked individually but there is an option to book the whole riad exclusively for up to 12 guests.

As part of the assessment, Riad Botanica was described as a ‘tranquil haven set within a captivating setting’ with architecture that is truly unique. The guest rooms were described as ‘luxurious sanctuaries’ and the team as ‘committed to ensuring an outstanding stay.’ The dining experience was also praised as ‘exquisite’, and the team’s overall dedication to excellence and hospitality was celebrated.
